Painting the Somerset Coast
I have continued writing for Art magazines including step by step demo's, here is the portrait study broken down in stages from our recent painting day at W and N.
The finished study..
At the ROI we have initiated regular painting days for members and friends, the latest sessions have been held at Winsor and Newtons HQ at Shepherds Bush. Very enjoyable and very stimulating painting with fellow artists.
I had the great pleasure of opening the 2013 ROI Annual Exhibition with the eminent historian Dr David Starkey.

After a really exciting selection day at the Mall Galleries, we are now looking forward to the Annual Exhibition of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. Alongside our members we will be showing work by talented up and coming artists competing for the Winsor and Newton Award as well as many new faces showing for the first time. Private view day is the 10th December opening to the public on the 11th when I will be holding a Portrait Painting Masterclass with Tim Benson VPROI in the new learning centre at the Gallery.
